Mature in Christ Together

Community Bible Study

mature in christ together

A Community Bible Study consists of 5-25 devoted Christ Followers from different church backgrounds who want to mature in Christ together. The objective is to provide a safe environment for Christ Followers to learn how to build an intimate relationship with God, develop godly relationships with one another and represent Christ as a lifestyle. The Bible Study meets in a home, community facility or online. The meeting days and times will vary.

What to expect

  • Build Intimacy with God: Individuals spend 10-15 minutes each day with the Lord, reading the assigned scripture and following the Read God’s Word With Purpose instructions.

Christ Followers build an Intimate relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

  • Develop Godly Relationships: The Community Bible Study meets for 2 hours once a month in person, or online, Monday thru Saturday, and at any time during the day. During the meeting, individuals share a light meal together, discuss insight from the assigned scripture reading, receive a teaching from the discussion chapter, pray for one another and encourage each other.

Godly relationships of respect, trust, love, investment and accountability are developed within the group.

  • Represent Christ as a Lifestyle: Christ Followers discover how simple it is to represent Christ wherever they are, whatever they are doing and however life is treating them. They receive instruction on what it means to represent Christ and share how they are implementing that instruction in their life.

Representing Christ as a lifestyle is experienced as individuals share how they are implementing the training they have received.

leadership

A team of Disciple Makers and/or Five Fold Ministers will lead the Community Bible Study. The network of Community Bible Study Leaders meets monthly to receive ongoing training, share how the Bible Studies are functioning, encourage one another and pray for each other and for the Bible Studies.
